Start with the last accepted filing, agency, registration number, legal and assumed names, participant type, bond, expiration, reporting history, and solicitation method. Do not put every charity on an annual renewal calendar. The Attorney General says most charities do not register generally, while specific law-enforcement telephone, public-safety, and veterans categories have their own continuing filings.

Re-screen the campaign facts each cycle. A new telephone solicitor, independent promoter, public-safety publication, veterans-related name, beneficiary representation, or contract can add a participant or change the category. Save the analysis alongside the renewal so the next filer understands why the form exists.

The OAG’s LETSA form includes both Initial Registration and Renewal Registration. It asks for the registrant, chapters and affiliates, registered agent, officers and directors, solicitors, tax status, and financial information. Reconcile the renewal to the current call contracts, scripts, caller list, federal return, and prior registry record before an officer certifies it.

The Attorney General’s program page lists a $50 organization filing fee and a separate $50,000 commercial telephone solicitor bond filed with the Secretary of State when applicable. Preserve the bond status and do not assume the organization renewal extends or replaces a solicitor’s security. Save the submitted form, fee, delivery, and updated OAG registry result.

Form 3201 is the multi-purpose Public Safety Organization, Independent Promoter, or Public Safety Publication Registration/Renewal Statement. It collects the registrant, each solicitor, each beneficiary organization or fund, use of contributions, tax status, and other required facts. The Secretary of State FAQ lists the $250 filing fee for that participant type.

A solicitor uses the separate Form 3203 renewal route and applicable bond. Reconcile organization, promoter, publication, and solicitor records so every active participant is covered. If a contract ended, document the effective date and any final-report obligation instead of silently removing the party from the current form.

The Secretary of State’s Form 3500 series routes veterans organization registration or renewal, the organization bond, the organization annual report, solicitor registration or renewal, solicitor bond, and solicitor quarterly reports. Build a requirements table by participant because the organization and the solicitor have different documents and reporting cadences.

Reconcile veterans-related names, chapters, officers, solicitors, contribution use, bond terms, and expenditure reporting. Do not assume that submitting the annual report renews the registration or that renewing the organization covers the solicitor. Use the current form labels and agency instructions tied to the existing record.

Save the category analysis, completed form, bond, financial or activity report, fee, delivery, and agency confirmation. Confirm the OAG registry or Secretary of State filing record when available. A mailing receipt is evidence of delivery, not state acceptance, and registration never implies endorsement.

Calendar the expiration, renewal preparation, bond continuation, annual or quarterly report, contract review, and status recheck separately for each participant. For an ordinary charity outside the special categories, preserve the no-general-registration analysis and monitor campaign changes rather than manufacturing a renewal filing.
